How Kim was going to fill her days in Timor-Leste was a question we didn’t really have an answer to when we moved here. She can do lots of things, there are many needs in this place, but what would be her role here?

While being a mum and wife, taking care of the house and being head chef do take up a lot of time, Kim has taken on the role of Communications Officer for the MAF program here in Timor-Leste. So what does that mean? Lots of time at the computer really!

She now produces and sends out fortnightly updates about what MAF has been doing, what organisations they have been helping and how many medevacs have been completed. This includes prayer and praise points for MAF Communications staff in other countries to use in their publications.

As well as that, Kim now writes articles about what MAF is doing here in Timor-Leste to be used in magazines, websites and other publications around the world. As a pilot wife Kim hears the stories of the medevacs, tricky weather and passenegers who were flown in the planes each day, and this role allows her to share some of these stories with others. So that we can all praise God for the way He is using two planes, three pilots, a Timorese staff member who helps in so many areas, three wives and four kids here in Timor-Leste for His glory and purposes.

Kim’s first article was published today by MAF Canada on their website. Click here for a  read about MAF Timor-Leste’s 1000th medevac patient.
